Artist's Description

This parade was on Veteran's Day 2001, two months to the day after 9-11. My father received a medal at the Liberty Memorial in Kansas City, Missouri, to honor his service as a member of the Army Air Corps during WWII. The light quality was special that day, and the colors, patriotism, and pageantry was magical. This is the first painting I created incorporating my "life interlacings", so this painting is very special.

"An artist may have a message, but once the art is real, it may receive new interpretations, so keep an open mind." "Past, present, future, art, science, spirituality; all are connected, and I feel them flow through me when I am working on my art." "I create what pleases me, and someone else will...
