The Missouri Watercolor Society announces that artist Carolyn Coffey Wallace has been accepted into the International Competition for 2020, to be held in Barcelona, Spain. A partial list of countries represented this year includes Canada, Norway, France, Greece, China, the United States and more.
Calhoun Peaches is the painting that will be on display.
Juror of Selection, Tom Schaller, selected 168 paintings that will be exhibited in Barcelona from April 24th through May 30th. The exhibition venues are the Barcelona Academy of Art (BAA) and the European Museum of Contemporary Art (MEAM). MEAM is located in Old Barcelona next to the Picasso Museum. There will be $20,000 to $25,000 in total cash and merchandise awards. There are four Jurors of Awards. Fealing Lin will be the American Judge. Carolyn Coffey Wallace was the Special Feature article in the March/April 2011 issue of the P.E.O. Record. She is the artist who designed the logo for the 2011 International P.E.O. Convention to be held in St. Louis September 29-October 1, 2011.
