Anticipation: Venice has inspired me ever since I first visited the lovely city. This painting expresses my anticipation to return to such a romantic part of the world. You may notice some faint lines through the painting. I call these “Life Interlacings” since I visualize our lives as meandering threads that overlap time, place and the people we meet in life. They are characteristic in my work.
